Plot Synopsis

THE GUEST BOOK is a half-hour comedy anthology series that emerged from series creator Greg Garcia's habit of writing fictitious stories in the guest books of various rental cabins in an effort to freak out the next renters. Now he is bringing those stories to life in this series. While the house and cast of characters living in this small mountain town remain the same, each 30-minute episode of the first season features a different set of vacationing guests, who each bring their own baggage and special brand of crazy. Season 1 guest stars include Danny Pudi, Jenna Fischer, Tommy Dewey, Lauren Lapkus, Michaela Watkins, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Michael Rapaport, Kate Micucci, Jaime Pressly, Stockard Channing, Andrew J. West, John Ortiz, David Zayas, Shannon Woodward, Margo Martindale and Stephnie Weir. On Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, TBS premiered THE GUEST BOOK, showing back-to-back episodes. In "Story One" (10pm), months after having a kid, Tim, a middle-school science teacher, books the cabin to spice up his sex life with his wife Sandy, but when things take an unexpected turn, Tim finds himself way over his head in a criminal conspiracy. Then, in "Story Two" (10:30pm), devout mother Jill is annoyed that her son Ethan has brought his atheist fiancee Lynn to the cabin for a family getaway. Season 2 of THE GUEST BOOK premiered on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 10-11pm ET/PT on TBS. The second season features a new town, new series regulars, and new guest stars. In the small oceanside community of Mabel Beach, vacationers who stay at the Bare Feet Retreat record their confessions, alibis, and farewells in the cottage's guest book. They are hosted by town locals Bodhi, Nikki and Tommy, played by series regulars Jimmy Tatro, Kimiko Glenn, and Dan Beirne. Tommy and Nikki are a couple that manage Emmy Lou's Grill and Bare Feet Retreat. Bodhi is a handyman who often helps out at the grill and vacation home. Carly Jibson and Eddie Steeples also star in Season 2. Jibson returns as Vivian, the scheming bikini bar owner, who accompanies Eddie (played by Steeples) from Mount Trace to the beach in search of a fresh start. Guest stars in Season 2 include Joey 'Coco' Diaz, Kether Donohue, Nat Faxon, Martha Plimpton, Sufe Bradshaw, Will Arnett, Pete Davidson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Matt Walsh, Lisa Rinna, Michael Rapaport, Steve Zissis, Allison Tolman, Oliver Hudson, Nadine Velazquez, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Adhir Kalyan, Matthew Moy, Michael Cassidy, Lexi Ainsworth, and Jon Bass, as well as Garret Dillahunt, Kellie Martin, Aloma Wright, Charlie Robinson, Lou Wilson, and Tipper Newton from the series' first season.
