GUIDING ALASKA is a half-hour reality series that follows Bud Hodson and his staff -- including head guide Chip King, head chef Matt Spence, hospitality manager Carol Smith, and many guides and hospitality staff -- as they keep Tikchik Narrows Lodge up and running among the majestic Alaskan wilderness. Here, travelers pay top dollar to experience the magic of the last frontier, where Bud juggles four distinct businesses: a hotel, a restaurant, a vintage airline, and a guiding service. This self-sufficient lodge welcomes guests from around the world from late June through September -- each with their own fishing ambitions and needy expectations. Thirty live-in employees populate the tiny peninsula where Tikchik shines in Alaska's endless summer -- and where every egg, blanket, replacement part and 20,000 gallons of fuel must fly in. It's hectic, intense, and never-ending as "all hands" are on deck at all times to transform every getaway into the trip of a lifetime.
