Plot Synopsis

GUY'S ALL-AMERICAN ROAD TRIP is a four-episode docuseries that follows Guy Fieri, his wife Lori, and his sons Hunter and Ryder, as they load up their RV to hit the road, along with a caravan of campers full of family and friends. The journey up the coast is filled with adventure, fun competitions, and unbelievable meals, as the Fieris and their friends make their way up the coast from Northern California through Oregon and into Washington. From surfing sand dunes to an exhilarating jet-boat excursion down the Rogue River, and from camping feasts featuring fresh ceviche from crab and cod right out of the water and a whole-hog barbecue, this road trip is full of mouthwatering meals, iconic destinations, and lots of action-packed activities.

Before they hit the highway, the Fieris meet up with the five other families coming along for the adventure. Notorious for surprises, Guy reveals to the group that this isn't an average vacation as there will be family vs. family competitions at each stop along the way. First up is Alexandre Family Farms, an organic, regenerative farm in Crescent City, CA, where they learn firsthand how to milk cows, and one family creams the others with the most amount of milk. The farm fun doesn't stop there, as they head over to the chicken coop for a dizzying egg relay race. Then they head to Gold Beach, Oregon for a wild 64-mile long jet-boat excursion. After working up an appetite on the water, the Fieris and friends go back to the campsite to enjoy a real deal, homemade Mexican feast with Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Achiote Chicken Fajitas.

With hundreds of miles to cover, and incredible roadside eats to enjoy, including campground curry, homemade pork eggrolls, and fresh Dungeness crab boil, the Fieris continue to lead the way up the West Coast. In Florence, Oregon, Guy and his buddies go on an epic ride in the sand dunes in Honeyman State Park, while the kids try sand boarding. Plus, the families go head-to head in mini golf and go-carting. Back at the campsite, Ryder gets a lesson on how to make the crispiest fried chicken.

Next up, they stop in Leavenworth, Washington to check out a Bavarian village for some traditional treats at a bakery known for their gingerbread. It's game on as the families compete to decorate the most impressive gingerbread house. Then, there's more thrills and competition as the families go ziplining. Before heading to the campgrounds, they make a pit stop for outrageous milkshakes at a retro stainless-steel diner in the middle of the mountains.

Ending the trip on a high note, Guy and Hunter visit Jim Belushi at his family's Oregon farm to cook up Albanian Belushi-family recipes, as well as American favorites like ribs and pizza -- done with Guy's special touch. Then, there is one last challenge as the families battle it out in their final game to determine who is winner.

Season 2 of GUY'S ALL-AMERICAN ROAD TRIP premiered on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. Guy Fieri, his wife Lori, and his sons Hunter and Ryder are packing up the RV for an epic road trip through Appalachia in the new season. The Fieris, along with a caravan of campers full of their family and friends, hit the road for an unforgettable trip full of wild adventures, family competitions, and some of the best food in Tennessee and Kentucky. Each of the four hour-long episodes is packed with dynamite dishes, iconic destinations and attractions. From crispy, juicy fried chicken at Dollywood, to Tiki cocktails at Guy's very own Downtown Flavortown, and to next level BBQ camp-side, the eats are unlike anything they have had before. With stops at the National Corvette Museum for an action-packed race around the track, Guntown Mountain for a lasso competition, and Iron Mountain Metal Craft for a lesson in blacksmithing with a hands-on forging experience, it's all big-time fun on this monster road trip.

The Fieris and their closest family and friends embark on a trip of a lifetime with pit stops along the way to meet great people, eat incredible food, and make new memories. Before they hit the road, they must fuel up with a mouthwatering lunch in Nashville, Tennessee served by some of Guy's favorite local Triple D spots. Once they get to the campground, the rain doesn't stop this crew from having a real deal Mexican feast. Then, it's off to a fun roadside attraction in Bowling Green, Kentucky that takes everyone on a trip back to the Old West. Next up, is Chaney's Dairy Farm for an over-the-top, family against family, ice cream-making contest. They continue to milk Kentucky for an adrenaline pumping spin around the speedway at NCM Motorsports Park. After some hot laps, they head across the street for a tour of the National Corvette Museum. Plus, there is a real deal pizza showdown back at the campgrounds.

On the next leg of the trip, the Fieris and friends are rolling out for the longest leg of the trip with some awesome surprises along the way. The first stop is in Petros, Tennessee for finger-licking BBQ at a penitentiary followed by a tour of the jail by a former inmate. Next, they make a detour at classic Triple D joint, Pizza Palace in Knoxville, Tennessee to check out the new dishes they have been serving up. Then, they head to a party on the river, where the families dive into some water sports from boating, wakeboarding, and tubing. After working up an appetite on the water, it's a burger showdown between the families for dinner. The competition continues the next day at English Mountain Trout Farm as the kids must try to catch the golden trout. With all the fish they catch the families have a delicious trout cook-off at the campgrounds.

With 300 more miles of southern specialties and Appalachian experiences to cover, the caravan heads to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for some next-level nachos, outrageous burgers, one-of-a-kind waffles and a tiki drink oasis at Guy's very own Downtown Flavortown. The family competition get serious as they go head-to-head in a game of mini bowling. Then, they head down the street to discover how handmade knives are crafted. Next, they dig into homestyle fried chicken and cinnamon bread at Dollywood. To round out the day, the crew goes hog wild at a pit stop in Madisonville, Tennessee at a bacon legend Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams.

In South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Guy gets a tour that most chefs only dream about at the Lodge Cast Iron Foundry, where he learns how cast-iron cookware is made from raw material to finished product. Then it's over to Sewanee, Tennessee to check out Midway Mushrooms where they produce a wide variety of gourmet mushrooms. Next, the families load up on southern sweets at a bakery that has been around for 120 years, Dutch Maid Bakery. Then, things get a little wild in Chattanooga when the families battle it out in a mechanical bull competition. They also head to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, where the Fieris make a recipe to feed to the lemurs. For the last day of the trip, they head back to Nashville to make custom cowboy hats and enjoy authentic Tennessee BBQ to close out the epic trip around Appalachia.
