Plot Synopsis

Starting in 2013, The Hub hosted its annual HALLOWEEN BASH, a nationwide Halloween contest for kids and their families. After kids from across the United States submitted their entries, 50 semi-finalists representing each state in America won a trip to Los Angeles to be a part of this two-hour event. At the HALLOWEEN BASH, a panel of celebrity judges select winners in multiple categories -- Howlarious; Spooktakular; Mad Genius; Blast from the Past; Animal Kingdom; and Everyday Stuff -- and then crown one of those category winners as the "Best in Bash" National Champion, giving that person a cash prize ($25,000 in 2013) and The Jackie award, a trophy with a golden pumpkin elevated on a 2-inch pedestal. The 2013 HALLOWEEN BASH, hosted by Kenan Thompson, was taped on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, with costume judges Martha Stewart, Hal Sparks, and Coco Jones. Plus, the event featured musical performances by Cody Simpson and Fifth Harmony, with the following celebrity presenters: Bailee Madison; Laura Marano; Rico Rodriguez; Raini Rodriguez; Keean Johnson; Todd Newton; Nolan Gould; Zachary Gordon; and more. The Hub Network first aired the 2013 HALLOWEEN BASH one week later, on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 8-10pm ET/5-7pm PT, with multiple encore presentations before Halloween.
