Plot Synopsis

In this half-hour comedy, Stuart, a gawky transplant from England, searches for the woman of his dreams in Los Angeles as he tries to infiltrate the glamorous world of beautiful people who have no interest in a 6'-7" bumbling Englishman. Stuart is a web designer who works out of his LA home; he has an easy rapport with an attractive roommate, Jessica, though it is clear she's not romantically interested in him. When he hits the LA social scene, Stuart is accompanied by his wingmen: Wade, who's recently separated from his wife, Marion, and is reluctantly entering the dating world; and Kives, a charismatic paraplegic who fares the best with the ladies. Guest stars include: Crista Flanagan as Marion; Jenny Slate as Amelia, Jessica's frenemy; Sean Wing as Jessica's agent, Glenn; and Sarah Wright.

On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, HBO premiered HELLO LADIES: THE MOVIE. In this 80-minute telefilm, when Stuart learns that his British ex-girlfriend is planning to visit Los Angeles with her husband, he sets out to impress them with his glamorous lifestyle, enlisting a Russian model he's just met to play the role of his beautiful girlfriend. What could go wrong? In addition to Stephen Merchant, HELLO LADIES: THE MOVIE stars Christine Woods, Nate Torrence, Kevin Weisman and Kyle Mooney, with Sean Wing and Crista Flanagan also returning in their guest roles.
