Plot Synopsis
When the mangled corpse of a local teenager is discovered in the woods of Hemlock Grove, suspicions soon fall on Peter Rumancek, the newly arrived gypsy, and Roman Godfrey, a member of the town's most powerful family, but everyone becomes a suspect in the hunt for a monster that may be hiding in plain sight. Hemlock Grove was once a thriving town driven by its steel mill, which was owned by the Godfrey family, but the mill closed down years ago and the Godfreys invested their fortune in a cutting-edge biotech company. The series opens with local teen Brooke Bluebell found murdered near the town's old steel mill. Evidence points to an animal attack, but teenagers Roman and Peter are identified as possible suspects. When a new victim is found, Peter and Roman work together to find the killer -- and to try to clear their names. Hemlock Grove's seedy underworld of vampires and werewolves is discovered, highlighted by an epic power struggle that eventually devastates both the Godfrey and the Rumancek families, while revealing unexpected connections between the town's residents and gypsies. On Friday, July 11, 2014, Netflix released the entire 10-episode second season of HEMLOCK GROVE. Season 2 continues with the town coming to grips with the shocking massacre incurred by one of its deadliest creatures. Roman and Peter are now faced with new responsibilities and the realities that come with adulthood. Roman's relationship with his mother is all but dead as he struggles with his unwanted Upir birthright and the disappearance of his sister, Shelley. Peter moves in with Destiny and is forced to get a job after his mother is sent away. Meanwhile, in search of a new life, newcomer Miranda Cates, descends on Hemlock Grove with an unknowingly profound effect on Peter and Roman. And Norman, still reeling from the loss of his family, must face the harsh truths that are uncovered about those he still loves.
