Plot Synopsis
Hosted by Mo Rocca, THE HENRY FORD'S INNOVATION NATION tells the fascinating stories behind the historic innovators of the past and the forward-looking visionaries of today, revealing the extraordinary talents and dedication required to bring their inventions to life. In the series premiere, Mo shows teen inventors who are out to stop distracted driving; highlights Thomas Edison's inventions that still make us all look like slackers; reveals how the Drone Invasion is upon us; and investigates windmills the size of a flea that could revolutionize electric power. INNOVATION NATION premiered in the second year of CBS/Litton Entertainment's three-hour educational/informational programming block on Saturday mornings, branded "The CBS Dream Team, It's Epic!," which is targeted at 13-to-16-year-old viewers. The block typically airs from 9am-Noon ET/PT (check local listings, as actual times vary from city to city).
INNOVATION NATION returned for its second season on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 9am ET/PT as part of CBS' Saturday morning educational & informational programming block (check local listings). The season opener, "Wolves of Yellowstone," features stories about wolves in Yellowstone National Park; Vine filmmaker Zach King; and a new beehive that makes honey flow.
