Plot Synopsis

Each year since 2008, HGTV GREEN HOME GIVEAWAY reveals the winner of HGTV's annual Green Home sweepstakes, showing the ambush-style announcement. In 2012, the grand prize consisted of: (1) the home located in Serenbe, Georgia (including home furnishings and merchandise) with approximate retail value of $650,000; (2) One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000); and (3) a 2012 GMC Terrain automobile, valued at $38,535. Winners include: Marsha Coulthard (2008) won an eco-friendly home in Tradition Hilton Head, SC and a 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid; Kari Coffey (2009) won a modern Spanish-style home in Tradition, FL and a 2009 GMC Sierra Hybrid; Sandra Gilson (2010) won an eco-friendly cottage located in Plymouth, MA, a 2010 GMC Terrain and $100,000; Debbie Stolte (2011) won a platinum LEED certified home in Denver's premier sustainable community of Stapleton, a 2011 GMC Terrain and $100,000; and Mary Jones (2012) won a 2,300-square-foot home in Serenbe, an eco-progressive community in the Chattahoochee Hills of Georgia, a 2012 GMC Terrain and $100,000.
