Plot Synopsis

HIDDEN POTENTIAL is a half-hour series that follows builder and designer Jasmine Roth, as she infuses generic suburban homes with a shot of personality. After spending her youth building furniture and playhouses in her dad's garage, she now brings that love of design to every unique renovation, incorporating cozy touches, functional space planning and a light, bright aesthetic. In the 13 half-hour episodes, Jasmine, who is known for her hands-on approach, gives boring houses in suburban Southern California a custom revamp and creates gorgeous dream homes that have personalized layouts and standout amenities. In the series premiere, Jasmine adds show-stopping "wow factor" to a client's builder-basic home. To spruce up the home's exterior, Jasmine adds stone accents around the garage door, a new bright front door and a covered patio with custom shade sails and a swing big enough for the entire family. Inside the house, she reimagines the kitchen layout to maximize space and allow for a large island, turn the fireplace into a focal point with stone and a rustic wood mantle, and build a beautiful yet practical storage wall in the main living space.

Season 2 of HIDDEN POTENTIAL premiered on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as HGTV debuted back-to-back new episodes:

"Welcome Home" (9pm): Anthony and Cherise love their Huntington Beach neighborhood, but they don't love the compartmentalized layout of their older tract home. Designer Jasmine Roth customizes the floor plan to connect the entire house and creates a stunning new kitchen. Outside, she modernizes the front yard, constructing a cozy front seating area with a whimsical treehouse.

"Family Space and Storage" (9:30pm): A young family is still living with the in-laws while they decide how to tackle their renovation. They enlist designer Jasmine Roth's help to make this cookie-cutter tract home into their dream space. With sexy storage options, a kitchen upgrade and a new exterior complete with a one-of-a-kind obstacle course for the kids, Jasmine gives the house some much-needed personality and creates useful spaces perfect for family dinner parties.

Through the rest of the second season, Jasmine's innovative and personalized design plans wow homeowners and exceed their expectations. Her dynamic design solutions include a motorized serving tray built into a kitchen island, a stairwell with secret closets underneath and a gallery photo wall that boasts concealed storage compartments tucked between the studs. She also refreshes dull exteriors with new front doors, vibrant decor accents, lush patios and landscaping to define the outdoor space.
