Plot Synopsis

With $20,000 and only four days to complete a miracle makeover, general contractor Eric Stromer and his team -- his brother and master carpenter Kurt and world-class designer Megan Weaver -- work together to transform the local town eyesore into the envy of the neighborhood. In each 60-minute episode, Eric travels to a new neighborhood to select the most offensive house on the block, and the team embarks on a mad race against the clock to complete an extensive overhaul -- inside and out -- so that the newly renovated house reflects the personality of the homeowners as well as the vibe of the neighborhood. Featured homeowners include: a family of five in Austin, TX that is bursting at the seams after a new baby forces their teenage son to sleep in the carport filled with Mom's junk; an eclectic Austin, TX couple -- she's a stained glass artisan, he's a die-hard antique collector -- who compete for every inch of space and pose challenges when Megan selects colors; and many more people whose houses are transformed with new contemporary chic designs and elements of traditional coziness.
