Plot Synopsis

Peter Rosenberg, radio DJ at NYC's #1 hip-hop station (Hot 97), hosts this updated version of the iconic, 1960s game show HOLLYWOOD SQUARES. While infusing it with some of the biggest and most charismatic personalities in hip-hiop culture, HIP HOP SQUARES stays true to the tic-tac-toe format of the original game show, with two contestants selecting squares and their celebrities, answering trivia questions and trying to get three Xs or three Os in a row. As always, the celebrities are given all of the answers before the show so that they can provide entertaining answers to the hip hop-oriented trivia questions, like "Dr. Seuss or Dr. Dre? Who wrote 'With my Triple-Sling Jigger, I sure felt much bigger?'" The series features musical moments and unpredictable interactions with the panel of rappers, DJs, comedians, sports figures and television personalities, including: actor, comedian and television host Nick Cannon; pro-skateboarder and Jackass crew member Bam Margera; actress, dancer and singer-songwriter Kat Graham; record producer, artist and radio personality DJ Khaled; rappers Fat Joe, Biz Markie, Ghostface Killah, Mac Miller and MGK; Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker LaMarr Woodley; rapper Childish Gambino (aka actor Donald Glover); and more. Mac Miller had the honor of being seated in the center square for several episodes, with Nick Cannon and others also being featured in the key position. After an eight-episode run during the Summer of 2012, HIP HOP SQUARES returned with new episodes on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11pm ET.
