Plot Synopsis

HOLLYWOOD DIVAS is a one-hour reality series that follows a group of five black actresses trying to navigate career, family and relationships, while attempting to stay relevant in an unpredictable entertainment industry known for overlooking black talent. These forgotten stars decide to think outside the box, band together and take matters into their own hands to create their own short film and, hopefully, stage their own comeback. The five women are: Golden Brooks, a classically trained actress, who, after co-starring on a long running series, has been hit with the reality that the game has changed; Elise Neal, nearing 50 with looks that rival most 20 year-olds, reigniting her sexy dance troop to show the world that she is a triple threat; Paula Jai Parker, the primary breadwinner of the family, who believes that she was shunned from Hollywood after marrying a production assistant she met on-set; Countess Vaughn, struggling with image and self-esteem issues for years, who turns to extreme cosmetic surgery in an attempt to revitalize her career; and Lisa Wu, ex-wife of singer/songwriter Keith Sweat and retired NFL player Ed Hartwell, who is in a constant battle to get the world to recognize her as more than just a former cast member of a reality series. TV One premiered the second season of HOLLYWOOD DIVAS on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Side Eye and Side Deals," Countess decides to celebrate her new post "surge" body by throwing a selfie party. But the celebration gets pushed to the wayside. In the rest of Season 2, Countess, now brutally outspoken, is set on building her empire including writing a cookbook, designing a line of t-shirts and getting back to her first love of singing. Countess experiences a roadblock in her progress when the stress of her father's sudden stroke causes her to turn to food -- putting her at risk of gaining back the weight. Meanwhile, Golden Brooks has it all. However, despite her recurring role in a dramedy series, the launch of a line of luxurious pillows, and balancing the around-the-clock duties of motherhood, Golden finds herself struggling with being a single woman in Hollywood. Looking to shake things up, she begins dating someone who appears to match her drive, but as with many things in Tinseltown, this suitor may not be who he appears. Golden is left to figure out what's real in his seemingly sketchy past. Paula Jai Parker has gone from homeless to Hollywood. She has secured three new acting opportunities, however her personal life remains in turmoil. When husband Forrest struggles to hold down a job, Paula placed the fate of THE WHITE SISTERS film in his hands, to the dismay of the ladies. The strain of their relationship brings their marital bond to an all-time low, frustrates her cast mates and continues to disappoint her mother. Self-proclaimed workaholic Lisa Wu realizes she needs to prioritize her life when forced to cope with her mother's cancer diagnosis. Ultimately, she decides to put her career and dating life on hold in order to permanently relocate to Los Angeles and serve as caretaker for her mother. This season finds Elise Neal starring in an off-Broadway stage play; however, it's her alleged side deals with The White Sisters project which appears to have taken her ambition too far. Soon her friendship with the ladies become strained and distances her -- for all the wrong reasons. Season 3 of HOLLYWOOD DIVAS premiered on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on TV One. For the third season, Malika Haqq, who is best known for her breakout role in ATL, joins the cast. This season also catches up with leading ladies' Countess Vaughn, Golden Brooks, Lisa Wu and Paula Jai Parker, as they take their growing success to new heights. In the season opener, "Out with the Old, In with the New," Golden throws a party with the divas and her new friend Malika, but she does not invite Paula. Feeling isolated, Paula has a meeting with Lisa, but that turns sour and later when she confronts Golden things gets biblical.

On Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, TV One premiered Part 2 of the two-part reunion show, as executive producer and host Carlos King tries to broker peace between two of the divas -- and it doesn't go well, potentially causing the end of their friendship.
