Plot Synopsis

Home-improvement expert Mike Holmes and his crew -- son Mike Jr., daughter Sherry, and right-hand man Damon Bennett -- rescue families and communities from problems they never saw coming, as they take on massive projects for people who need more than just a run-of-the-mill contractor. In each one-hour episode, Holmes starts and completes one project, including: a roof that's been leaking for 40 years, and now the family is dealing with mold in the attic, barely any insulation, and as a result, heat loss; Toronto's High Park Playground, which was destroyed by an arsonist's fire, prompting Holmes to redesign and rebuild the castle playground with the help of the community; a home that has a kitchen floor with compromised structure, a moldy bathroom, and a basement filled with asbestos; building an accessible outdoor deck and dining area for a teacher paralyzed in a horrible hit and run; and many more projects that require demolition and re-building. DIY Network aired the US premiere of this series on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT.

HOLMES MAKE IT RIGHT returned for its second season on DIY Network on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "House Sandwich," Nel and Tom call in Mike to investigate their home where water is pouring into the basement after two large custom homes are built on either side of their house, but he notices that their 60-year-old house and property are in desperate need of some TLC. What starts as a simple foundation repair turns into damage control when Mike and his team uncover an electrical nightmare.
