Plot Synopsis

Hosted by home contractor Mike Holmes, HOME FREE is a one-hour reality series that features nine deserving couples who are challenged to revive one run-down home every week in hopes of winning their own dream home. During the eight-week series, these couples renovate eight houses for eight deserving families. Each week, the couples with the best work move forward in the competition, while the couple who didn't perform up to code faces elimination. Weekly eliminations continue, until only two couples remain, who fight to the finish to win their ultimate dream home. In the series premiere, Holmes puts the contestants to work right away. He'll be with the competitors every step -- picking apart their work and demanding they meet his high standards, while also sharing his expertise and guidance to help them reach new heights. But in a surprise twist, when the work is done for the day, the couples don't have far to travel to get home, because not only must they work together to restore the home, they must all live together in the same work site 24/7. The more they accomplish, the better they sleep at night. Season 2 of HOME FREE premiered on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX, with former NFL player, Heisman Trophy winner and sports analyst Tim Tebow co-hosting, alongside famed professional contractor and home renovation TV Star Mike Holmes, who returns for the second season. Holmes and Tebow welcome 11 contestants to Home Free Boulevard. They'll be building an entire neighbourhood and competing to win a dream home for their personal heroes and $100,000 for themselves! A few of the contestants are; a soldier playing for a fellow soldier who saved his life, a woman playing for the mentor who believed in her when no one else did, and a man competing for the woman who donated a kidney to his father.

On Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 8-10pm ET/PT, FOX premiered the season finale of HOME FREE. In the two-hour season ender, "Overnight Success/Dream Come True," after weeks of hard work, high stakes, breakdowns and pep talks, the final two contestants compete to win the ultimate Dream Home for their personal heroes. One contestant will say goodbye and one will make their hero's wildest dreams a reality.
