Plot Synopsis

Produced by Rashida Jones, Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus, HOT GIRLS WANTED: TURNED ON is a six-part anthology series, based off their feature documentary, HOT GIRLS WANTED. This series tells personal stories about people whose lives are affected by the explosion of the Internet where social media, pornography and virtual relationships are all just a click away. Each episode explores the intersection of sex and technology telling stories of intimacy, connection, disconnection, self-promotion, race and gender politics, highlighting the stories of those creating it, consuming it, or both. How is interacting through screens rewiring us in fundamental ways? Netflix released the entire six-episode series on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, a two months after the Sundance Festival premiered an episode titled "Women on Top," directed by Rashida Jones, which explores a subculture of women bringing feminist philosophies into their workplace, with the idea that female-friendly porn can exist.
