Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by David Shore, HOUDINI & DOYLE is a one-hour series, inspired by true events, that follows master magician Harry Houdini and prolific writer Arthur Conan Doyle, as they investigate unsolved, inexplicable and possibly supernatural crimes alongside the first female Constable of the London Metropolitan Police Force, Adelaide Stratton. In this series, the trio are tasked with the cases that nobody else can solve. It challenges their sense of what is real and what is not. Houdini is a skeptic, while Doyle believes in the unseen. Their diverse viewpoints make solving crime a challenge -- and often Stratton is put in the middle -- as they take on cases that involve vampires, ghosts, monsters and poltergeists...or are they a ruse to conceal murder? HOUDINI & DOYLE debuted simultaneously on the Canadian television network Global and on FOX in the United States.

In the season ender, "The Pall of LaPier," hen all but two residents (a priest and a child) of a small village die simultaneously, and with no signs of violence, the trio must uncover whether or not this tragedy is divine revenge for the murderous founding of the town. Meanwhile, Adelaide's discoveries about her dead husband's past finally prompt her to ask the others for help, Doyle begins writing "The Hounds of the Baskervilles" and Houdini's anguish is evident.
