Plot Synopsis

This one-hour reality series follows fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg and a group of eager-to-please associates in training who are vying for one position to work as her company's Global Brand Ambassador. Only the most talented young women are considered, and this weeks-long interview prepares one of them to take on the world of fashion. Diane herself handpicked these young women, who are determined to impress her as they are tasked with working in different areas of her empire. From planning a press lunch to working at the DVF Spring show during Fashion Week, the candidates are expected to execute every duty perfectly, although things don't always go as planned. Jessica Joffe (DVF's Style Editor) and Stefani Greenfield (DVF's SVP of Merchandising) guide the candidates through the tough days and nights. Yet Diane herself is there at all times, committed to and passionate about selecting the right young woman for the job. She observes, evaluates and empowers them to open up about their lives and dreams in one-on-one sessions and does not mince words when she feels they haven't presented themselves as a member of the DVF team should. Diane believes every one of them has what it takes to be the woman they want to be, and wants to provide them with the tools to do so. The eight candidates in Season 1 are: Codi, a sensitive 22-year-old fashion photographer from Utah; Lenore, a 23-year-old New York native and FIT student; Brittany, a 23-year-old fashion stylist from San Francisco who seems wise beyond her years; Kier, a 24-year-old fashion blogger who's ready to take charge; Abigail, a 22-year-old wardrobe stylist from Florida; Amanda, a 21-year-old student studying Fashion Design & Merchandising at Drexel University; Tiffani, a 19-year-old South Bronx native and youngest member of the group, who is incredibly receptive to learning anything; and Jinna Yang, a 25-year-old stylist and blogger who's task oriented.
HOUSE OF DVF returned for its eight-episode second season on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on E!. Along with Diane, Season 1 winner and current DVF Global Brand Ambassador Brittany Hampton returns to help find experienced hopefuls, knowing all too well what the demanding yet fun position entails. Jessica and Stefani also return to offer their professional guidance and insight. The new contenders are put through their paces as they dive into a number of high-stakes challenges across DVF's stylish empire, including individual and team assignments in design, marketing and public relations. Among the exciting and strenuous tasks the ladies must excel in are using their all-access passes at the DVF fall fashion show to create images that show Diane how the brand inspires them; interacting with the public and using their social media savvy to generate buzz -- and customers -- for a DVF pop-up sale in Boston and experiencing what it's like to be an American in Paris, where they have the opportunity for their photography to be used in an issue of the esteemed "Madame Figaro" magazine, which Diane is guest editing. The seven women contending in Season 2 are: Cree Nixon, a 21-year-old Atlanta native, who is a student at Santa Monica College and has worked in illustration, modeling and costume design; Chantal Trujillo, a 25-year-old San Diego native, who received her Masters Degree in Fashion Management and Design from the University of Barcelona; Hanna Beth Merjos, a 27-year-old Los Angeles native, who made a career for herself as a fashion blogger, model and designer; Leigh Fidler, a 21-year-old student at the University of Cincinnati, who has interned with Giorgio Armani, Zac Posen, BCBG Max Azria and Brad Goreski; Alli Davis, a 28-year-old celebrity stylist and blogger, who was born and raised in California and studied PR at Pepperdine University; Cat Wennekamp, a 26-year-old stylist in Hollywood, who spent her childhood refashioning her own clothes before she went on to study at FIDM in L.A.; and Maytee Martinez, a 24-year-old Miami native, who has a degree in fashion merchandising and her own swimwear line, while also working as a professional model and worked with Valentino, Dior and Roberto Cavalli
