Plot Synopsis

Using re-enactments and archival footage and photographs, HOW (NOT) TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND chronicles the stories of angry wives who killed their husbands. Each 30-minute episode documents the stories of two couples, including: renowned Russian activists Yakov and Rita Gluzman, who moved to New York to escape Soviet Russia -- but their American dream ended when The Jewish Lizzie Borden killed Yakov with an axe after he had an affair; UK housewife Lakhvir Singh (aka The Curry Killer) and her lover, Lakhvinder Cheema, who she killed by adding aconitine to his curry after learning he planned to marry a younger woman; Larissa Schuster (aka The Acid Lady) and her husband, Timothy, who she killed by dissolving his unconscious body in a 55-gallon drum of hydrochloric acid; and many more husbands and wives whose marital problems had deadly consequences for the man of the house. HOW (NOT) TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND returned for its second season on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 9-11pm ET/PT, as Investigation Discovery premiered back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener (9pm), "Hot and Bothered," an office affair results in a basement of horrors for one devoted wife. Plus, a simple yet charmed life in Hawaii is disrupted when a wanted criminal is discovered on the island. And in Scotland, a divorce is about to burst into flames. Then, in the night's second episode (10pm), "Hell Over Heels," a dream honeymoon becomes a voyage of terror. Is it an angry spouse or a government conspiracy? Then, divorce brings out the very worst in a couple caught in turmoil. And in England, a card playing couple fall in and out of love at the gaming table. Season 3 of HOW (NOT) TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND premiered on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Twisted Desires," Jonathan claims his wife was killed, but he may not be as innocent as he suggests. Things go a little too far after a cafe owner's husband allows her to embark on an affair. A sci-fi nerd has a bloody honeymoon with his new Thai bride.

On Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the Season 3 finale of HOW (NOT) TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND. In the season ender, "Temper of Doom," when a cop and his wife decide to divorce, it sets off an inferno that only one will walk away from. A husband is left on the sidelines as his wife switches teams and in the UK a red mist descends on rage filled romance.
