Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Will Ferrell and series host Sarah Silverman, I LOVE YOU, AMERICA is a weekly, half-hour topical series during which Silverman discusses the current political/emotional landscape of the country. From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Silverman has created her fair share of online chatter, but with this show she's looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it's great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it's crucial, now more than ever, to connect with un-like-minded people. In the season opener, Silverman performs a monologue, visits a Trump-voting family from Louisiana, and talks with her first in-studio guest, former Westboro Baptist Church member Megan Phelps-Roper, who discusses how to connect with people on the opposite side of a divisive topic. New episodes are released weekly on Thursday nights, two days after being taped in front of a live studio audience at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Los Angeles. After a nine-month break, I LOVE YOU, AMERICA returned with new episodes at 6pm ET/3pm PT on Thursday, September 6, 2018 on Hulu. In the mid-season premiere, Sarah attends a Pro-Life group meeting and also discusses our nation's difficult relationship with the truth. Super Bowl winners and activists Doug Baldwin and Malcolm Jenkins are her guests.
On Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 6pm ET/3pm PT, Hulu released the season finale of I LOVE YOU, AMERICA. In the season ender, Sarah gives thanks for our messed up country, then meets up with her dad to examine the cost of aging. Musician Sturgill Simpson is her guest.
