Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Ben Gleib and based on the game app, IDIOTEST is a half-hour gameshow that pits two pairs of contestants with a preexisting rivalry against each other to determine which team has two true idiots. The rival pairs -- anything from colleges (UCLA vs. USC) to sci-fi fans (STAR TREK vs. STAR WARS) -- go head to head in several rounds of rapid-fire questions whose answers any "idiot" should know. The questions, taken from the game, test observation skill, attention to detail and general knowledge, as the contestants play the game on a giant touch screen in the center of the set. On Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, GSN premiered the second season of IDIOTEST. Host Ben Gleib plays an integral role in the Season 2 opener that features some April Fool's-related stunts being kept under wraps. Plus, the remainder of the season features new types of tests and rivalries, as well as a variety of themes amongst the competitors. Season 3 of IDIOTEST premiered on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as GSN debuted back-to-back new episodes. The 40-episode third season opens with celebrity contestants Dr. Drew Pinsky and Mike Catherwood of "Loveline" facing off against YouTube stars GloZell Green and Gaby Dunn. Upcoming special shows this season also include an "all-nude" episode, a 1970s version of the show, a CHELSEA LATELY reunion and the cast of NBC's UNDATEABLE, among others.
