Plot Synopsis

Based on Laura Numeroff & Felicia Bond's book of the same name, IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE is a half-hour animated series that follows the adventures of Mouse, Oliver, Moose, Pig, Cat, and Dog, as they discover that when you've got a curious Mouse for a friend one thing always leads to another, then another, and then another! The show's learning approach was developed in consultation with authors Mimi Ito and John Seely Brown and revolves around a cause and effect narrative structure that sparks imagination and the creativity engendered by knowing that possibilities are endless. Each 30-minute episode is comprised of two stories featuring new recordings by Grammy nominated recording artist Lisa Loeb. On Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon released the entire 13-episode first season of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE, a little more than two years after the series pilot was released on November 5, 2015. Amazon Prime also released a 45-minute Christmas special, "If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie," on Friday, November 25, 2016.

The second part of Season 1 premiered on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released an additional six episodes of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE. The two stories in the first new episode are: "Recycle Races": At the recycling center Mouse and friends have lots of fun sorting and recycling. Mouse is soon whisked away on an unexpected wild ride, which inspires the gang to make their own "wacky rafts" out of plastic bottles. "Change Is Good": Mouse decides to use a bottle as a piggy bank to save up for something special. With pluck and luck, he soon finds his goal getting closer.

Amazon Prime released the final seven episodes of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE's first season on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. The first episode of this new batch features these stories: "Friendaversary": Cat and Esme Louise search for a way to celebrate their Friend-i-versary. A rafting trip sounds like fun, but with one thing leading to another, will they ever get to the lake?; "Runaway Robot": Cat invents a cupcake-powered Robot with a very bad sense of direction. Unfortunately it also has Esme Louise's school work. Will the gang be able to find it?

Season 2 of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE debuted on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released the first five episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Looking After Lovey; The Old Shell Game," Moose entrusts Mouse to babysit his stuffed lovey for the afternoon, and when Herman, the Hermit Crab, outgrows his shell, Mouse takes it upon himself to find Herman a new home.

On Friday, February 7, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon Prime released "If You Give a Mouse a Valentine's Day Cookie," a 20-minute special. It's Valentine's Day, and Mouse decides to create a giant Valentine's Day Cookie to show how big his feelings are for his best human friend, Oliver. But can he get it, and himself, home in one piece?

Amazon Prime released six additional episodes of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE's second season on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In the first episode, "Picnic Express; Safari Surprise," Moose's cooking at the Scout Jamboree is just too popular, and the gang helps spice up Oliver's report on the jungle by bringing it to life for his class.
