Plot Synopsis

Former Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page travels across North America, revealing bootleg restaurants that serve up tasty, creative, and illegal food in each city's secret -- and often unlicensed -- underground venues. In each 30-minute episode, Steven travels to two cities, including: Los Angeles, where Jason Priestley helps him find Un-Curry; Charleston, SC, where he attends Guerrilla Cuisine run by rebel Chef Jimi Hatt; San Francisco, where he ends up in Yolo County for the all-raw Summer Solstice Supper Club; New Orleans, where he eats balut at Filipino restaurant called Milkfish; Austin, TX, where he dines at Super Underground; Ottawa, Canada, where he has a seat booked the elusive upscale underground restaurant Cobra; Chicago, where he stops at Yo Soy; Dallas, TX, where he attends Frank, an off-the-grid restaurant run by two former reality TV food competitors; New Orleans, where he pulls up a chair at pop-up restaurant We've Got Soul; Brooklyn, where he attends Studio Feast, which serves up a delicious seafood boil; and many more illegal eateries in the United States and Canada. On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, Esquire Network aired the U.S. premiere of this series, showing back-to-back episodes.
