Plot Synopsis

INSANE POOLS: OFF THE DEEP END is a one-hour reality series that follows award-winning pool designer Lucas Congdon and his crew at Florida-based Lucas Lagoons, as they turn homes into exotic waterfront properties by building natural wonders in everyday backyards while tackling unprecedented designs, challenging clients, and impossible build sites. From majestic waterfalls to natural saltwater grottos on remote islands, Lucas and his crazy team of artisans, including his mother who everyone calls "woman," have been building timeless creations that reinvent outdoor living. Congdon's passion for these aquatic paradises is contagious, and he often finds himself convincing clients to go bigger or go home, including a couple whose original plan for a $25,000 koi pond turns into a $165,000 pool remodel. These upgrades can cause serious tension amongst the design and construction teams who are striving to execute intricate builds meet and still meet client deadlines. Each one-hour episode features one or two jobs, including: the aforementioned koi pond project; an outdated pool that is transformed into a natural lagoon; a bayside paradise for a couple with a home in Snead Island, FL; outdoor living space, pool, spa, fire features and kitchen -- all without any of Lucas' signature rockwork; a Rocky Mountain-style lagoon for a family living in the Florida wetlands; a giant double pool with a connecting stream and several customized surprises; an outdated pool that is transformed into a stunning natural atrium that is safe for the client's son; and a Caribbean destination in a landlocked backyard, with green rocks, a sand bottom, and salt-water pool loaded with features.

Season 2 of INSANE POOLS: OFF THE DEEP END premiered on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Animal Planet, immediately following a six-hour marathon (3-9pm) of encore episodes. In the season opener, "Welcome to the Jungle," Lucas and his crew take on the challenge of bringing the jungle to life in a suburban backyard.
