Plot Synopsis

This half-hour, nationally syndicated newsmagazine features anchor Deborah Norville and a team of journalists who present hard-hitting investigations, exclusive newsmaker interviews and incisive human-interest stories, as well as celebrity and pop culture features. The Season 26 opener -- which debuted on Monday, September 9, 2013 (check local listings) -- touched on these topics: Richard Hatch, the first SURVIVOR winner, who may have fathered hundreds of children, and now this donor dad is being sought out by young adults looking for their biological father; and Girls Gone Fishing!, highlighting young women who go noodling. INSIDE EDITION returned for its 27th season on Monday, September 8, 2014, marking Norville's 19th season as the show's anchor. The series opener covered Joan Rivers' funeral, as America says goodbye to a comedy legend. Then, a story about how getting pulled over by cops for a speeding ticket saved a man's life.

Season 28 of INSIDE EDITION premieres on Monday, September 14, 2015 (check local listings for time and channel), with Deborah Norville returning for her 20th season with the newsmagazine, currently making her the longest-serving anchor on a daily broadcast news program. To kick off its premiere month, INSIDE EDITION debuts a new series of segments called "Hidden Treasures: We Find, You Keep," in which the newsmagazine travels around the country to help viewers discover money or other valuables that they didn't know was owed to them. The series begins in Washington D.C., where one man gets the surprise of a lifetime when he learns that he inherited almost a half million dollars.
