Plot Synopsis
THE INSIDE JOB is a half-hour series that follows expert contractor Jason Cameron and his crew as they design, rebuild and renovate homeowners' properties. Jason's straight-forward, no holds barred attitude makes him someone homeowners can put their faith into before spending thousands of dollars on a new renovation. From the first meeting, through the demolition, build, and reveal, Jason will bring eye opening insight to make sure viewers avoid deception and disappointment in their own rebuilds. On Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, DIY Network premiered the pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "'70s House Transformation," Jason and his crew tackle an outdated 1970's house that is a complete gut job. With a cramped layout and a dark, claustrophobic formica filled kitchen, the house gets a complete transformation. By literally raising the roof with 12 foot beamed ceilings, they give the home a spacious open floor plan that includes a large center island, marble countertops, hand crafted barn door accents and a bright refinished fireplace anchored by a reclaimed wood mantle.
