Plot Synopsis

Mixing CGI and expert interviews, host Michael Mosley takes viewers on a fantastic voyage through our inner universe. The four 60-minute episodes cover human birth to the last dying breath and everything in between: "Creation" shows the sequence of biological events that lead to human birth; "First to Last" shows how the body performs countless small miracles to stay alive; "Building Your Brain" traces our development from birth to adulthood; and "Hostile World" reveals the ingenious ways the body defends itself against a hostile world. TLC aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 7pm ET.
