Plot Synopsis

Former British Special Forces commando Jason Fox embarks on a dangerous journey into the heart of the Latin American drug trade for an inside view. Jason used to hunt drug lords for a living, and now he goes unarmed into billion-dollar cartels in Mexico, Colombia, and Peru to face a different challenge: to meet the kind of people he was once sent to take out -- from traffickers, to cartel enforcers, assassins to underworld kingpins -- to understand them, how they think, what makes them do what they do, their dreams and their fears. In the first episode, Jason travels to Mexico, where he meets the Sinaloa cartel, the most dangerous drug gang going. Featuring heart-stopping scenes, he meets killers, ex-assassins, and is witness to extraordinary brutality. Then, Jason visits the country where the global narcotics industry began and the port where about a quarter of the world's cocaine is smuggled. In Medellin, he meets Pablo Escobar's former chief assassin. Finally, Jason visits the remote Cocaine Valley in Peru and looks at both sides -- meeting a cocaine chef and joining an elite police helicopter raid on a jungle lab. INSIDE THE REAL NARCOS had its U.S. premiere on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire three-part series.
