Plot Synopsis
INSIDE: U.S. SOCCER'S MARCH TO BRAZIL chronicles the United States Men's National Team, as it prepares for its Group of Death for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. This series premiered one day after coach Jurgen Klinsmann announced the team's 30-man roster, and the series opener introduces various players from the team as well as head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, a World Cup champion as a player and former coach of the German National Team. Subsequent episodes of the series follow the coaches and players -- including Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Tim Howard and Michael Bradley (pictured) -- as they endure a demanding preparation camp at Stanford, battle for spots on the final 23-man roster, and play three international matches against Azerbaijan (May 27 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, CA), Turkey (June 1 in Harrison NJ) and Nigeria (June 7 in Jacksonville, FL) before their departure for Sao Paulo. The series' sixth and finale episode will be a half-hour live episode on Wednesday, June 11 from 9:30-10pm ET/6:30-7pm PT on ESPN -- the night before the first game of the World Cup between Croatia and host country Brazil.
