Plot Synopsis

Inspector Gadget is back -- with his niece Penny and her dog Brain -- to stop the evil Dr. Claw, who has reactivated MAD, his global crime syndicate. When Claw thaws out and returns from the Antarctic, Gadget comes out of retirement to find Claw's claw before he does. Whether Claw and MAD are taking over satellites in the sky, growing a race of mutant fruits or melting the polar ice caps, Gadget, Penny and Brian must track down super villains and protect unknowing targets. Meanwhile, Claw's nephew, Talon, tries to prove himself to his uncle by hijacking a train -- and even trying to steal Claw's training claw -- but the crew's attempt to track Talon is complicated because Penny has a crush on Talon. On Friday, March 27, 2015, Netflix released 16 episodes of INSPECTOR GADGET, which continues the story of Gadget and the rest of his team from the iconic '80 animated series. On Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 13-episode third season of INSPECTOR GADGET. Season 3 finds Inspector Gadget and the gang tangling with dinosaurs, monster plants, vampires and more as they race to foil Dr. Claw's plots. In the season opener, "Jurassic Jerk; Assistant Chief McFibber," Dr. Claw crafts a plan to clone a T. rex and unleash a prehistoric army; Talon dons a 10-gallon disguise to kidnap Chief Quimby and take over HQ.

Season 4 of INSPECTOR GADGET debuted on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released all 13 episodes of the new season. Dr. Claw attempts anger management, Talon poses as a panda and Inspector Gadget goes ... to jail? It's a MAD, MAD world with plenty of surprises. In the season opener, "Frienemy of the State; MADhenge," with Talon locked away at HQ, Penny's longtime "frienemy" becomes Dr. Claw's new No. 2; Cosmic energy turns Penny and Talon into superpowered rivals.
