Plot Synopsis

In this update of the iconic cop drama from the '60s and '70s, Robert T. Ironside, an acerbic police detective bound to a wheelchair after a bullet shattered his spine two years ago, shows he has no bounds by helping his team solve New York City's most difficult cases. Supervised by Capt. Ed Rollins, a man for whom he has tremendous respect, Ironside works with his former partner, Gary, who is struggling with life because he blames himself for the shooting, and a team of hand-picked experts, including: Virgil, a loving family man, who is one of the toughest, craziest cops in the city who will do anything to protect citizens and victims; Teddy, a wealthy and highly-educated man, who became a cop following a family tragedy; and Holly, who must learn how to distance herself from the criminals she grew up around and who has mysterious family ties to the Brooklyn underworld. IRONSIDE debuted on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on NBC.
