Plot Synopsis

Jamie Oliver wants to help Americans of all ages eat more balanced meals and cook with fresh ingredients. Not only at schools, but also homes, workplaces and even restaurants. To start his new cooking initiative, Oliver heads to the so-called unhealthiest city in the United States -- Huntington, West Virginia -- hoping that it starts a cross-country chain reaction of positive change about how Americans view food. His goal is simple. He wants people to "rediscover the sense of pride, satisfaction and fun you can get from cooking for the people you love." ABC aired a sneak peek of the series on Sunday, March 25, 2010. On Friday, March 26, 2010, ABC showed the official two-hour series premiere, which started with the episode shown on the previous Sunday.
