Plot Synopsis

From the producers of UNDERCOVER BOSS, this one-hour reality series follows one young adult per episode on his/her journey to land a first job, as each job seeker goes on three interviews. Along the way, Jane Buckingham -- Founder and CEO of Trendera and bestselling author of "The Modern Girls Guide to Life" -- is their Career & Lifestyle expert (a.k.a. The Fairy Jobmother), dispensing advice on how to learn from their mistakes, where to shop and eat, how to get around town, where to find housing, and the realities of entering the job market. At the end of the episode, the job seeker finds out if he or she lands three, two, one -- or zero offers. JOB OR NO JOB features these young adults: Gabrielle McBay, a private chef and aspiring restaurateur from Dallas, who flies to Chicago to interview with Goddess & Grocer, Table 52, and Grace Restaurant; Lauren Afflerbaugh, a recent college grad and aspiring fashion designer from Austin, who flies to Los Angeles to interview with Bollare Communications, Brand Equity Showroom, and Heist; Gigi McDowell, an event planner from Grand Prairie, TX, who leaves for Nashville to interview with Infinity Events and Catering, Randi Events, and Angela Proffitt Events; Sarah Ruhlman, who leaves her hometown of Kansas City, heading to New York to find a job at an online magazine -- Women's Health Magazine, Popular Science Magazine, and Apartment Therapy Magazine; and many more job seekers.
