Plot Synopsis

Each hour-long episode of JUNKYARD EMPIRE features Andy Cohen, a jack of all trades with a keen eye for recognizing the high-priced payoff in automotive rubble, while managing Andy's Auto Parts in Bladensburg, Maryland -- just outside of Washington, D.C. -- as well as a custom car shop, Damascus Motors. Bobby, who started the junkyard years ago, thinks his son is spreading himself too thin and insists on helping by running the junkyard while Andy is away. Bobby's relaxed style and alternative plans irritate his son making the high risk/high reward junkyard business even more of a roller coaster ride. At the end of the day the Cohens know how to exploit every greasy part or burned up engine to keep the family empire thriving. In this series the hunt is on for big, washed up metal -- cars, motorcycles, boats, homes, campers and heavy equipment -- from police impounds, private auctions, dealers, random driveways or old lots. On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Velocity broadcast the series premiere of JUNKYARD EMPIRE, showing back-to-back episodes. In the season opener, Andy's showroom manager Colin delivers on a source of new income for the shop -- booking Andy's favorite car, an original Mad Max Interceptor, for a film festival up in Erie, PA. To collect the $5,000 rental fee Andy calls in a team of Mad Max experts to fix the car, and install a real blower to replace the fake movie prop on the Interceptor. The upcoming weekend is the biggest opportunity yet to build the Damascus Motors brand, but only if the project succeeds. Season 2 of JUNKYARD EMPIRE premiered on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Velocity. In the season opener, "A New Day, A New Dollar," Andy knows there's no better place to find flip potential than at an auction, but when he stumbles across a Mercedes SL55 AMG, he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Andy's dad, Bob, manages to turn a small idea for a marketing boost into a mess. On Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, Velocity premiered the third season of JUNKYARD EMPIRE. In the season opener, "Junkyard and the Bandit," Andy finds a rusty Trans AM at the auction, and all he can see are dollar signs. If he can get this thing running, he'll score big -- but as he quickly comes to find out, most cars end up at the auction for a reason.

Season 4 of JUNKYARD EMPIRE premiered on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on Velocity. The fourth season features an unprecedented variety of reclamation projects from a Unimog, an old school firetruck and a 1967 Austin London Taxi FX4 to more traditional builds of a K-9 Police Ford Pickup Truck, a Lamborghini, a Dodge Viper, a 1983 Power Wagon, a 1971 Barracuda, a 1964 Ford Mustang, a 1986 Monte Carlo SS, a Jeep Wrangler and many more. In the season opener, "Junkyard Empire," when Andy Cohen tries to convert an old Dodge pick-up into a vintage Power Wagon, his dad Bobby hits the roof. So it's up to Chris and Jeff to turn this rust bucket into gold. Then Andy buys a German military truck for a crazy advertising scheme.
