Plot Synopsis

JUNKYARD GOLD is a half-hour reality series that follows classic car authority Steve Magnante, as he finds even better cars for the TV series ROADKILL. While Steve pieces together the history, life, and death of automotive relics and rarities among junkyards across the nation, he is also looking for the perfect project cars. In each 30-minute episode, Steve dissects the bones of old machines, learns their history, checks out restoration mock-ups, and sees which cars might end up with a second life. In the series opener, Steve stops by All American Classics, a popular salvage yard in Vancouver, WA, which has been forced to downsize due to city expansion and rising taxes. The pilot of this series, which also starred Thom Taylor, debuted on on September 24, 2017, as the streaming service pitted JUNKYARD GOLD against another pilot, FORBIDDEN DRIVES, allowing viewers to select which pilot would be picked up as a series. JUNKYARD GOLD had its linear television premiere on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network.
Season 3 of JUNKYARD GOLD had its linear television premiere on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network. In the season opener, "Super Bee vs. Road Runner: Which Came First?," what might be the very last Super Bee and a Road Runner are both found in a private yard.
