Plot Synopsis

Based on the "Villanelle" novellas by Luke Jennings, KILLING EVE is a one-hour drama series that centers on two women: Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy; Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. This series topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two fiercely intelligent women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse. In the series opener, "Nice Face," Eve is tasked with protecting the only witness of a murdered Russian politician, and she soon finds herself on a collision course with Villanelle. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the writer, showrunner and an executive producer of KILLING EVE, which was renewed for a second season on Thursday, April 5 -- just three days before the series premiere.
