Plot Synopsis

A killer stabs the wrong man and slays a presidential candidate, hurling the Rev. Emilio, a politically inexperienced but adroit vice presidential candicate, into the spotlight. Left as the presidential front-runner, he seizes his big chance, while the murder is investigated. The entire eight-episode first season of THE KINGDOM dropped on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11pm ET/8pm PT on Netflix.

Season 2 of THE KINGDOM premiered on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 on Netflix, as the streaming service released all six episodes of the new season. Pastor Emilio is the president of Argentina -- but things aren't going well. Rather than concede, Emilio pushes on, gathering new allies and even an army of his own, which he will use to bring about a reign of terror. In an all-out struggle between good and evil, his adversary is Tadeo, who has unwittingly become a populist leader and won't shrink from his mission.
