Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Devon Franklin, Holly Carter, and Kirk Franklin, KINGDOM BUSINESS is an one-hour drama series that explores the gospel music industry through the multiple lenses of family, faith, love and the redemptive power of music. An exotic dancer with a powerful voice rises from the pole to the pulpit, forcing the reigning queen of gospel to guard her family and its many secrets. The entire eight-episode first season of KINGDOM BUSINESS dropped on Thursday, May 19, 2022 on BET+. On Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT, BET and BET Her aired a sneak-peek episode of the series. KINGDOM BUSINESS made its official linear television series debut on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her.

The sophomore season of KINGDOM BUSINESS premiered on Thursday, November 2, 2023 with two new episodes on BET+. A new installment dropped weekly on Thursdays through December 14. In the season opener, "Stay," the family deals with the fallout of Calvin's shocking actions, Denita's parents seize power as she hovers between life and death, and Rbel, feeling lost, returns to her former career. In the second episode, "Wanna Be Happy," Sasha and Darlene both take advantage of Denita's post-traumatic amnesia, Taj is pressured to propose to Essence, Rbel cozies up to producer Xavier, and Calvin desperately seeks redemption. On Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT, BET, with a simulcast on BET Her and VH1, aired the season opener as a Season 2 sneak peek.
