Plot Synopsis

KITCHEN TAKEOVER is a one-hour reality series that follows Chef Isaac Toups, owner of Toups Meatery and Toups South in New Orleans, as he travels across America to save struggling restaurants by creating new menus and revamping the back of house. On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered the pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Hill Stress Cafe," Chef Isaac creates a new menu to save the suffering Hill Street Cafe in Burbank, CA. With style and food choices that are 20 years past their sell-by date and a sibling rivalry derailing his plan, it's going to take more than just food to save this family-owned diner.

On Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered "Cajun Crisis," a second installment of KITCHEN TAKEOVER. Chef and restaurateur Isaac Toups is called to help get Margarita Momma's Bourbon St. Grille in Fayetteville, Ga., back on track before it gets shut down. With a menu of clashing cuisines and no savings left, the unfocused owners will lose everything if they don't follow Isaac's lead.
