Plot Synopsis

LAKEFRONT BARGAIN HUNT is a half-hour reality series that follows families as they search for affordable homes that will make their lakefront-living dreams come true. Each 30-minute episode features a different realtor showing three potential lake houses to one of their clients, including: Gail and Picha, who, with the help of realtor Dan Dieckmann, are searching for a $225,000 weekend getaway in the Innsbrook Resort community, about an hour outside of St. Louis; the DeBell family -- Mike and Lisa, and their son Andrew -- who are helped by real estate agent Sara Austin on their quest to find a vacation home in nearby Summit County for less than $299,000; Kevin, Melinda, and their three kids, who have lakefront real estate specialist Hunter Croan helping them locate a property in Sequin, TX for less than $375,000; a Minneapolis family of three -- Tim and Kelly, and their son Jake -- who are searching for a $325,000 lakefront home in the Northwoods area of Wisconsin with the help of real estate agent Dan McNulty; young couple Brett and Sarah, who, after relocating from Michigan to Georgia, have real estate agent Ed Okenica helping them find a $350,000 waterside residence to start their own family on beautiful Lake Oconee; and Kasey and Dave, who have enlisted real estate agent Jeanne Bingham to help them search for a family getaway for under $300,000 in Blakeslee, PA, a water lover's wonderland nestled in the Pocono Mountains. HGTV aired the series premiere on Labor Day 2014 (Monday, September 1, 2014) from 8-9pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes, before moving the series to its regular timeslot on Sundays at 8pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 8-9pm ET/PT.
