Plot Synopsis

In each 60-minute episode, host Adam Gertler travels to a different American city, where four cooks, hailing from 24-hour diners to mom-and-pop eateries, compete in a two-round, late-night cook-off, as they vie for the coveted Golden Fry Basket. LAST CALL FOOD BRAWL heads to some of the biggest cities in the United States, focusing on the local flavor of each town, including: New Orleans, where four of the Crescent City's best late-night cooks -- the po'boy king, the self-made BBQ master, the kitchen diva, and the easy-going family man -- who compete in a "Po'boy Insanos" Challenge and a Burger Challenge; Austin, where four Lone Star cooks -- the queen of fried chicken, a young food-truck owner, a trained culinary chef, and a teddy bear from a 24-hour diner -- who compete in a "Tacos Insanos" Challenge and a Tex-Mex Challenge; Memphis, where four River City chefs -- a veteran pit master, a football player turned late night chef, a former line worker, and a young hot shot -- who compete in a "Nachos Insanos" Challenge and a BBQ Challenge; Nashville, where four Music City chefs -- a "hot chicken" master, late-night food's granddaddy, a trained culinary chef, and a bar-food specialist -- who compete in a "Wings Insanos" Challenge and a Cheese Challenge; and Atlanta, where four Big Peach cooks -- the college dropout turned cook, the soul-food master, the high-school dropout turned chef, and the ex-criminal justice cadet -- who compete in a "Fried Chicken Insanos" Challenge and a Bar-Food Challenge. Destination America presented a sneak-peek episode of this series on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, with the official series premiere the following day at the same time.
