Plot Synopsis

Based on the real after-hour's chef competition that takes place in Las Vegas, LATE NITE CHEF FIGHT is hosted by Vic 'Vegas' Moea and Laila Ali. In each one-hour episode, two elite chefs from the Sin City use a diverse and exotic range of unfamiliar ingredients left behind in the food trucks, as they compete against each other in three culinary challenges on the Vegas strip. The winner of the first round chooses which of the two different food trucks they will work out of and winning the second round gives the chef a major advantage against their competitor. In the third and final round, the chefs must create a main course that coincides with the previous two challenges. The dishes are presented to expert judges -- two of Spike Mendelsohn, Michael Chernow, Casey Lane, and Chris Oh -- with the winner taking home bragging rights and a meal cooked by the loser. In the season premiere, the two five-star chefs reinvent a classic Mexican dip and compete in a caffeine-themed finale, with Casey and Chris as guest judges. FYI first aired LATE NITE CHEF FIGHT as a special on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:30am ET/PT, two months before the show's official series premiere.
Season 2 of LATE NITE CHEF FIGHT premiered on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on FYI, with Laila and Vic returning as hosts for an eight-episode second season. In the season opener, "Skin and Bones," a high-end maestro of Southern comfort food goes up against a Filipino catering firecracker, as a primal battle of the sexes heats up in the Palms parking lot. These chefs must prepare amazing dishes featuring bone-in elk and pigskin out of two tiny food trucks. Without help from their staffs and at the mercy of whatever these trucks have on-hand, will these culinary wizards be able to save their own skin?
