Plot Synopsis

Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl from the Southern Water Tribe, continues her quest to become the next fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. Taking place 70 years after AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, Korra is next in line, after Aang, to be the next Avatar. Korra already has three of the four elements under her belt (Earth, Water and Fire), and her quest to master Air leads her to Republic City, where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive -- but she also finds a city plagued by crime and an anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip the city apart. She soon find Aang's son, Tenzin, on Air Temple Island, where she lives with her airbending teacher, but when she grows frustrated with her inability to master Air, she turns her attentions to Republic City's famous Pro-bending Arena, where she befriends two brothers, Mako and Bolin, who compete in professional bending matches.

On Friday, September 13, 2013 at 7pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon, THE LEGEND OF KORRA returned with "Book 2: Spirits," which started six months after the end of Book 1. In the one-hour premiere, Korra struggles to find a deeper connection with the Spirit World as she and the gang attend a Southern Water Tribe festival. Then, Korra and Chief Unalaq journey into a dangerous maelstrom and find a source of great spiritual power.

THE LEGEND OF KORRA returned for its third season, "Book 3: Change," on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 7pm ET/PT, as Nickelodeon premiered back-to-back episodes -- "A Breath of Fresh Air" and "Rebirth" -- followed by a special bonus episode, "The Earth Queen." The first two episodes follow the events of Harmonic Convergence, and Avatar Korra discovers that her decision to leave the spirit portals open has unexpected consequences. Wild spirit vines have overgrown Republic City and Airbenders are suddenly popping up across the four nations. Korra, Tenzin and Team Avatar search for new Airbenders in an effort to recruit them and rebuild the Air Nation. Meanwhile, a band of sinister criminals are organizing to hunt down the Avatar themselves. Brand-new episodes continued to air on Fridays at 8pm ET/PT, beginning July 11, but part way through the third season, Nickelodeon stopped broadcasting LEGEND OF KORRA and released the final five episodes of the third season on Nick.com instead.

Nickelodeon premiered the fourth season of THE LEGEND OF KORRA on Friday, October 3, 2014, by releasing the season opener, "After All These Years," online at Nick.com. The 13-episode fourth season, titled "Book 4: Balance," is show's last, ending the program's 52-episode run. Eight weeks later -- on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT -- NickToons aired the television debut of Season 4, showing three back-to-back episodes never-before-seen on TV.
