Plot Synopsis

In LEGENDS, which is based on the book by spy novelist Robert Littell, Martin Odum works as an undercover agent for the FBI's Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division, while trying to discover his own identity. There are many times, however, when he must choose between the demands of his job and his desperate desire to solve the mystery of who he truly is -- and he doesn't always make the right choice. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn't the man he believes himself to be. As Martin tries to find answers to the questions about his identity, he must also continue his primary job as an undercover operative, taking on such roles as a Serbian extremist, a Scottish soccer club executive, a corrupt Chicago police officer, British special forces colonel and a legendary computer hacker. Sometimes he even gets to see his ex-wife, Sonya Odum, and his pre-teen son, Aiden. Plus, Odum works with: Crystal McGuire, a fellow operative who has a history with him; Tony Rice, a quick-witted and charming DCO agent; Maggie Harris, the newest member of the DCO team; and Nelson Gates, the director of the DCO Task Force. On Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, TNT debuted the two-episode season finale of LEGENDS. In the night's first episode, "Wilderness of Mirrors," Martin escapes from the Saudi's interrogation only to learn that Sonya and Aiden have been kidnapped. In the process of tracking them down, he learns more about the connection between Verax, Arcadia and his own past. Then in the 10pm episode, "Identity," Martin discovers that Verax may be plotting an assassination, led by a mysterious figure named John Cameron. When Martin gets kidnapped while investigating, he's shocked at what he discovers regarding his own identity and ends up in a race against time as he tracks Cameron and uncovers their plans to infiltrate the US Government. LEGENDS returned for its second season on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on TNT. On the run for a murder he didn't commit, Martin searches for his true identity, following a trail that takes him to London and the European continent, where he discovers a dark and violent past that holds the key to his future survival. Season 2 was originally scheduled to premiere Tuesday, August 25, 2015. In the season opener, "The Legend of Dmitry Petrovich," Martin is a fugitive, hiding out in present day London and wanted by the FBI for a crime he did not commit. He can't remember his life prior to an injury he suffered in the Iraq War, so he's searching for clues about his true identity with the help of CIA agent Nina Brenner. Meanwhile, in 2001, FBI agent Curtis Ballard and his Czech Police partner, Gabi Miskova, launch an investigation into a Russian gangster named Dimitry.

On Monday, December 28, 2015 from 9pm-Midnight ET/PT, TNT premiered the series finale of LEGENDS, showing three back-to-back episodes.

In the night's first episode (9pm), "The Legend of Doku Zakayev," in present day Prague, Martin goes back to work for Tamir, just like he did in 2001, but Tamir has other plans for him. Gabi confronts Blazek about his secret dealings. Kate is a prisoner in the President's compound in Chechnya. In 2001 Prague, Dmitry must convince Tamir to pick up where Doku left off and earn General Arsanov's trust. Ballard and Gabi suspect Dmitry and Ilyana have conspired to commit murder.

In the show's penultimate episode (10pm), "The Legend of Gabi Miskova," in present day Prague, Martin and Nina search for Tamir's associate Beslan in hopes of getting answers about the impending threat on the summit, as well as Kate's location. Meanwhile, two Chechen assassins put their deadly plan into action. Malika, Tamir's wife, gives Beslan orders that she thinks will save both of their lives. In 2001 Prague, Ballard confronts a life-altering injury, and Dmitry struggles to complete his mission without breaking his promise to help Ilyana and her daughter.

In the series finale (11pm), "The Legend of Alexei Volkov," in present day Prague, Martin makes a deal with the Russians to rescue Kate. Meanwhile, President Arsanov's plan for Kate is moving forward in Chechnya. Gabi struggles to decide what to do about her husband. In 2004, Dmitry asks one last favor of Terrence. And in a flashback to 1972, the last pieces of the puzzle to understanding Martin Odum's true identity are revealed.
