Plot Synopsis

Bill, a successful businessman, and Jen, a pediatrician, who are both under four feet tall, share their unique perspectives on life, love, and marriage. On Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC, THE LITTLE COUPLE returned with new episodes, starting with the show's 100th episode. Jen, Bill and the new son, Will, take the 28-hour trip back to Houston, where Jen's parents greet their new family with a welcome home party and plenty of tears. Then, it's all about adjusting to life at home as they experience lots of firsts. Will meets his furry siblings Rocky and Maggie, Jen struggles with juggling work and home life, and the family has to brace for some difficult moments as Will gears up for several medical procedures. For a while, it's all about Will -- until they head to India to pick up their daughter Zoey.

THE LITTLE COUPLE returned for its sixth season on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. After more than a year of dedicated planning and anxious waiting, the one-hour premiere followed the couple as they left for India to pick up their newly adopted daughter, Zoey. With their three-year-old son, Will, in tow, the family had no idea that they'd face their biggest challenge in the midst of their happiest moment. Upon Jen's return from India, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and immediately began to battle the disease. The new episodes capture the heartwarming and heartbreaking moments as the growing family copes with Jen's news.

THE LITTLE COUPLE returned for its seventh season on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC, following Bill and Jen as they juggle the excitement and obstacles of raising two young children, 4-year old Will and 3-year old Zoey. At the start of Season 7, Jen returns to balancing motherhood with her career as a doctor at Texas Children's Hospital. She continues to be a champion for children's health care heading out to Washington, DC, to raise awareness for the Children's Hospital Association's "Speak Now for Kids" initiative. As a family, they move forward in acclimating Will and Zoey to life in the U.S. by working with the children on their language skills and enrolling them in pre-school. Bill and Jen make family time a priority doing lots of outdoor activities with the kids including gardening, beach time and swim lessons. And they share the joy of several family milestones including the children's baptisms, Bill's 40th birthday as well as Zoey's first birthday in the U.S. After all the ups and downs of the past year, all Bill and Jen want is a calm and quiet year. But that is unlikely to happen, as medical challenges continue to emerge for the family. Jen is due for her six-month oncology check-up, the children need full medical evaluations and Bill is facing his own major medical issue that can impact the entire family.

THE LITTLE COUPLE returned with new episodes on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC, coinciding with the release of Bill and Jen's new book, "Life is Short (No Pun Intended)." With Jen entering her second cancer-free year, and Bill steadily recovering from a recent back surgery, TLC's favorite little couple is finally ready to focus on making memories and spending quality time with their kids, 4-year-old Will and 3-year-old Zoey. This season is all about learning and trying new things as Will takes his first karate class, Zoey tries ballet and the family adopts some new pet fish. Slowing down is not an option for this resilient family. While Jen juggles motherhood, her career and tending to Bill through his recovery, Bill does his best to maintain his "super dad" status despite his medical limitations. Will and Zoey make steady progress in school and with their speech and language skills, and the entire family continues to take advantage of all that each day has to offer. In the premiere episode, Will and Zoey help speed up Bill's recovery process by taking him and their dogs out for a walk, and Bill and Jen get to spend some quality time together while on a trip to New York. Later, in the spirit of learning, the family takes a trip to NASA's Johnson Space Center where they learn about rocket ships, astronauts and outer space. Does Will have what it takes to be the first little person astronaut?

Season 8 of THE LITTLE COUPLE premiered on TLC, immediately following an all-day marathon (6am-9pm) of encore episodes. With those obstacles now part of the past, the couple is focusing on cherishing everyday life and the joys of parenthood. Throughout the season, the family will continue to expand their horizons stateside, including a visit to Washington D.C. to host an adoption gala, which coincides with Zoey's fifth birthday celebration!
