Plot Synopsis

LIVING BIG SKY is a half-hour reality series that follows families from across America who want to relocate to Montana, as they search for their new homes. Each 30-minute episode features a real-estate agent showing properties to one family, focusing on unique houses and the cultural adjustments that the family will need to make. HGTV first aired back-to-back episodes of LIVING BIG SKY on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 1pm ET/PT, but the cable channel had no other episodes scheduled at that time. On New Year's Day 2015 (Thursday, January 1) from 6-7pm ET/3-4pm PT, HGTV premiered two more back-to-back sneak-peek episodes of LIVING BIG SKY, but had no additional episodes on its schedule at that time. In the day's first sneak-peek, New Yorkers are ready to trade the big city life for a more self-sustaining lifestyle in Whitefish, Montana; meanwhile, in the day's second new program, a man is moving his family from Williston, ND, to Helena, Montana, and searches for surprising properties in the area. More than five months later, HGTV aired the official series premiere of LIVING BIG SKY on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes.
