Plot Synopsis

Each half-hour episode of LOSERS profiles an athlete who has turned the agony of defeat into human triumph. In these eight true stories, athletes who have lost in their biggest moments seek redemption in a society that rewards winning above all else. This live-action series also uses animation elements to highlight these stories of disappointment, heartbreak, redemption and joy. LOSERS premiered on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released all eight episodes, featuring these athletes: boxer Michael Bentt, figure skater Surya Bonaly, curling legend Pat Ryan, Olympian Mauro Prosperi, sled dog musher Aliy Zirkle, playground hoops legend Jack Ryan, golfer Jean van de Velde, and players for the English soccer club Torquay United.
