Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by Peter Farrelly & Bobby Mort, LOUDERMILK is a half-hour comedy series that centers on Sam Loudermilk, a recovering alcoholic and substance-abuse counselor with an extremely bad attitude about, well, everything. He is unapologetically uncensored, and has managed to piss off everyone in his life, but his saving grace is that he's extremely good at helping people get and stay clean. Although he has his own drinking under control, Loudermilk discovers that when your life is a complete mess, getting clean is the easy part. His best friend and sobriety sponsor, Ben, has always been the one person that Loudermilk can count on. But Ben's got demons of his own that he's finding harder and harder to hide and a secret that will change his relationship with Loudermilk forever. As a favor to Father Rogan, the priest who oversees the community center where he holds sobriety meetings, Loudermilk reluctantly takes the case of Claire, who spiraled out of control with drugs and alcohol after the loss of her father. Claire and Loudermilk butt heads and share an older brother/bratty sister dislike of each other, but ultimately learn they're more alike than either of them would ever want to admit. Loudermilk's new neighbor, Allison, is a recent transplant from Seattle, and there are some romantic sparks between the two of them despite the fact that Allison followed her doctor boyfriend across the country. And even though he's interested in her, Loudermilk can't help pissing her off on a daily basis. The 10-episode second season of LOUDERMILK premiered on October 16, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on AT&T/DirecTV's Audience Network. After a relapse in New Orleans and a falling out with his best friend and sponsor, Ben, Loudermilk is back in Seattle trying to piece his world back together. With his "Sober Friends" meeting hijacked, a messy new relationship, and a stumbling start back into writing, Loudermilk is forced to do a little soul searching (which he hates) and decide what he wants from life. While he still has the ability to help those around him, Loudermilk just may find that the person who needs the most work is himself.
