Plot Synopsis

Based on the UK series of the same name, LOVE ISLAND is a reality series that follows a group of single "Islanders" who come together in a Fijian Villa, ready to embark on a summer of dating, romance, and ultimately, relationships. Every few days the Islanders pair up and those who are not coupled are at risk of being dumped from the island. Islanders are on the lookout for romance, but the road to love doesn't always run smoothly. Challenges abound with intriguing new Islander arrivals and dramatic twists as friendships and relationships form. In addition to choosing their partners wisely, Islanders must also win the hearts of viewers who have the opportunity to shape events on screen and ultimately crown one lucky couple the winner who will then have the chance to walk away with both love and the cash prize. The sophomore season of LOVE ISLAND premiered on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 8-10pm ET/PT on CBS. Because of COVID-19, Season 2 takes place in the oasis of Las Vegas, where a group of single "Islanders" come together in a stunning villa in Sin City, ready to embark on a summer of dating, romance, and ultimately, relationships. Every few days the Islanders pair up and those who are not coupled are at risk of being dumped from the island. Islanders are on the lookout for romance, but the road to love doesn't always run smoothly. Challenges abound with intriguing new Islander arrivals and dramatic twists as friendships and relationships form. After months spent in isolation and virtual dating, Islanders finally have the opportunity to date and get to know each other IRL (in real life) while shooting in Las Vegas sequestered in a "bubble" at a stunning villa on top of Ceasars Entertainment's boutique hotel, The Cromwell. Season 3 of LOVE ISLAND premiered on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 9:30-11pm ET/PT on CBS. Host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matthew Hoffman return with even more love and romance this summer as the show escapes the desert and heads back to the beach. Islanders will couple up on the sundrenched Hawaiian Island where they will be ready for more texts, fireside ceremonies, challenges and friendships. It is not all sun and rainbows, though, when the ultimate temptation, Casa Amor, returns. And, as always viewers can vote on the Love Island app all season long, having input on who goes on dates, who's at risk from being dumped from the Island and who are fan favorites. Ultimately, one couple will triumph and be crowned the winners of LOVE ISLAND. Moving to Peacock for its fourth season, this series -- now titled LOVE ISLAND USA -- debuted on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, with six episodes dropping each week (one episode each day Tuesday through Sunday). Sarah Hyland is the host and UK comedian Iain Stirling serves as narrator for the new season. In Season 4, Islanders couple up in new surroundings to compete in naughtier games and sexier challenges. Throughout their stay, temptations will rise and drama will ensue as Islanders are forced to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or "recouple" with someone new. Islanders will also be at the mercy of viewers at home who will vote to determine who gets another shot at love and who leaves the villa heartbroken and empty-handed. Filmed on the California coast. Season 5 of LOVE ISLAND USA premiered on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Peacock. Set in Fiji, this season features a new group of sexy singles on a search for love in a beautiful villa. Sarah Hyland returns as host. Throughout their stay in a tropical oasis, Islanders couple up to face brand new heart-racing challenges and bigger twists and turns than ever before. Temptations rise and drama ensues as new "bombshells" arrive throughout the season, forcing Islanders to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or re-couple with someone new. Islanders also be at the mercy of viewers at home who vote to determine who gets another shot at love and who leaves the villa heartbroken and empty-handed.

On Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Peacock released the Season 5 finale of LOVE ISLAND USA. After a season that featured over 30 singles, only four couples remain:

On November 16, 2023, Peacock announced that LOVE ISLAND USA has been renewed for two additional season, taking the series through Season 7.
