Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Atsushi Tamura and Becky, LOVE VILLAGE is a Japanese dating series that follows eight men and women, who live a self-sufficient life together to look for their last love. Eight singles who are 35 of over from various backgrounds relocate to a house in the mountains to see if love might transpire in a tranquil and idyllic setting, away from the realities of the world. The aim is for participants to find their everlasting love -- by showing their real faces, crying, laughing and quarreling. Would the participant find "the one" and leave the house and village with the partner? Four episodes of LOVE VILLAGE dropped on Netflix on each of these Tuesdays: May 2, May 9, & May 16, 2023. Three episodes debuted on each of Tuesday, May 23 & May 30, 2023.

Season 2 of LOVE VILLAGE premiered on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 on Netflix, which released the first eight episodes of the new season. Men and women aged 35 to 60 begin living together in an old Japanese-style house in Okinawa in hopes of finding the final love of their life. In the season opener, five women and four men arrive at a dilapidated house in Okinawa. As they settle in and start cleaning up, someone falls in love at first sight. Additional episodes debut weekly on Tuesdays through November 26.
