Plot Synopsis

Based on Tiziana Triana's novel of the same name, LUNA NERA follows Ade, a teenager in 17th-century Italy, who learns about her destiny among a family of witches, just as her boyfriend's father hunts her down for witchcraft. Ade has a dark premonition while helping her grandmother deliver a baby. The two are accused of witchcraft, and one is sentenced to death. Ade learns about the Book of Kingdoms and the history of the Lost Cities. While women's voices plague her, Ade struggles with how to respond to Pietro's proposal. On Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the six-episode first season of LUNA NERA.
